The prosecutor seeks the death penalty, not two years community service.
Westerfield in 50 years of his life, has proven being a good father, an intelligent and honest man. He sometimes drinks too much and has hard time keeping a wife but... he is not the only one. At least, he doesn't beat them every friday night like a lot of other men do.
Beside one D.U.I., he never had any trouble with the law.
Despite his clean background, he begins as being the only suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Danielle Van Dam... based solely on Brenda Van Dam's declarations.
Sure, the accusation is based on evidence but none of this evidence can prove any participation of Westerfield in the crime.
Until recently i stupidly believed the behavior of a man during his life should be taken into consideration, especially when this man is accused of the most horrible crime.
The death of Danielle Van Dam is horrible. I try hard not to think about what this poor little girl went through but I can't. She deserves justice. Whoever committed the crime has to pay the price.
I wanted to know how/when/why David Westerfield committed the crime. I have heard no explanation.
I wanted to know if David Westerfield could possibly be the ONLY SUSPECT. I haven't found that at all.
I have been asked if investigators were aware of cases I report. I don't know if they were, I hope they are now.
Damon Van Dam volunteered the information about some of the cases I talk about. I simply filled some gaps and provided my comments.
There are people that still believe Westerfield is the man, I can't change their opinion.
There are people for whom democracy means they have the right to speak and others only have the right to listen. They got the wrong dictionary.
Thanks to everyone of you for taking the time to read my thoughts.
I wish, for Danielle Van Dam, that justice will be honestly served. It will serve all of us.
